Food, fun, model homes, beautiful fall weather — The Grandest Home Tour event couldn’t have been any better. Nearly 300 people came out to The Grand Prairie on Oct. 26 to enjoy the festivities and tour 10 model homes by six builders — including two brand-new models by Lennar.
The Grandest Home Tour Event
A highlight was the classic car show that had enthusiasts “oohing” and “ahhing” over the vintage detailing and automotive styles of yesteryear. Moms and dads wanting professional family portraits encouraged their little ones to sit for the camera first before heading to the kids’ zone where games and activities beckoned.
No fall festival would be complete without a pumpkin patch to pick a gourd perfect for carving or decorating. Food trucks and a soda shop kept tummies from rumbling, and a DJ and live music added to the spirited event.
Not to be missed were the 10 professionally decorated model homes open during the event. The two newest — showcasing current trends in home design and décor — are by Lennar, which offers one- and two-story designs. Other builders with models open in The Grand Prairie include David Weekley Homes, Perry Homes, Sitterle Homes, Village Builders, and Westin Homes. Collectively, the six builders offer a wide range of floor plans priced from the mid $200,000s to $600,000+. Buyers can select from cozy 1,300-square-foot homes or more spacious designs offering living spaces up to 3,800 square feet.
No matter your choice, buyers will enjoy a life that glows with a vibrancy that can only be found at The Grand Prairie. Nearly seven miles of interconnected trails will wind through the community allowing residents to explore 450 acres of parks and open space. The 70-acre Lake Ember and other community lakes promise adventures near and on the water. The Sundancer will be a community hub, with a family-friendly leisure pool, a relaxing adult pool, a splash park, a playground, and pickleball courts. There’s even space for an onsite elementary school.

Start your visit to The Grand Prairie at The Welcome Experience, a community welcome center with a peek into what’s next in our community. Also, make plans to attend our Hula-Days Home Tour & Cookie Crawl from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14. Fill your custom cookie box with holiday cookies from each model home, take pictures with Santa, and sip hot chocolate with Mrs. Claus. There will even be a holiday craft session for the kiddos. It’s going to be fa-la-luah fun!
