The word for 2024 in The Grand Prairie was “more” — more model homes, more amenities, more events, more fun and more homes! In fact, our busy builders sold 436 new homes in The Grand Prairie last year, enough to be ranked among the nation’s 50 top-selling master-planned communities. Here’s more of our planned community 2024 recap:
Planned Community 2024 Recap:
Spring Fling
Last spring, area Realtors and the public were invited out to The Grand Prairie for The Grandest Opening and a tour of our community and model homes. Hundreds of people came out to tour the eight new model homes, listen to live music, pet some adorable animals, make flower bouquets and more. We even gave away a trip to the Grand Canyon! Our grand opening fun was a hint to the exciting lifestyle people can expect when they make their home at The Grand Prairie.
Summer Celebration
Late summer 2024 we celebrated adding another builder and more model homes to The Grand Prairie. Lennar — one of the nation’s largest homebuilders — launched sales and opened two model homes in The Grand Prairie, joining builders David Weekley Homes, Perry Homes, Sitterle Homes, Village Builders and Westin Homes.
Lennar is the exclusive builder in The Highlands at The Grand Prairie, offering homes situated on 40-, 45- and 50-foot homesites. Designs ranging from 1,318 to 3,264 square feet are priced from the $250,000s to more than $380,000.
More Reasons to ‘Fall’ for The Grand Prairie
Moving into fall, we started construction on The Sundancer amenity complex, slated to open in 2025. The Sundancer will be the “sol” of the community, with resort-style pools, splash park, playground and pickleball courts. An open lawn will surround the complex, perfect for games of tag or impromptu “kick-it-like-Messi” soccer games. Adding to the fun in The Grand Prairie are lakes, a pocket park, trails and The Overlook, a 40-foot hill offering vistas of adjacent lakes and the countryside.
Also, last fall, we invited the public back out for a bounty of fall festivities during The Grandest Home Tour. Guests oohed and aahed over classic cars, had a taste of yesteryear at the retro soda shop and picked their favorite gourds at the pumpkin patch. Families could also pose for portraits taken by a professional photographer.
A Winter Wonderland
Last winter was filled with excitement as residents and the public enjoyed a Home Tour and Cookie Crawl through our model homes. Santa came in from the North Pole to visit and take photos, while Mrs. Claus served hot chocolate. Kiddos could make keepsakes at the craft station. We also held a tree lighting and participated in the Waller-Harris EMS Santa Parade and Holiday Drive.
Why Pick The Grand Prarie as your New Home
But that’s not the only fun residents enjoyed last year! Our 2024 recap for Hockley neighborhoods wouldn’t be complete without looking back at our many resident events last year. The full lifestyle program launched in June as more and more people moved into The Grand Prairie. (We’re 200+ families and counting right now!)
Our lifestyle director had neighbors meeting each other at such fun events such as a Tie-Dye & Dine evening, a Mix & Sip Cocktail Class, a pumpkin-painting party and Cinema Under the Stars. We also celebrated Fourth of July with a Grand & Go and Thanksgiving with Operation Gratitude.
And there’s more to come for 2025! Want to live a life glowing with anticipation and wonder? Meet our builders and see what’s available. We can’t wait to welcome you to The Grand Prairie!
