The April 13 grand opening of The Grand Prairie was, well, grand! In fact, it was the grandest, with hundreds of people coming out for family fun and to tour eight stunning, brand-new model homes. Here’s the planned community grand opening recap:
With the community’s new model home park now open, eight professionally decorated model homes by five esteemed builders were open for touring. Perry Homes and David Weekley Homes have two model homes each, showcasing designs for 40- and 50-foot wide homesites. Westin Homes also has two model homes in The Grand Prairie, with designs for 45- and 60-foot wide homesites. Village Builders has one model home that represents floor plans available for 45-foot lots. Sitterle Homes also has one model open for homes designed for 60-foot properties.
But The Grandest Opening didn’t stop with model home tours. In fact, that was just the beginning as attendees enjoyed an array of activities on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Children could burn off energy in the bounce houses and got to make friends with cuddly animals at the wild petting zoo – complete with a tiny marsupial, duck and more . Face painting, a magician and yard games added to the fun for our young guests.
Golfers and golfers-in-the-making tested their skills at the golf simulator, and those with the best swings walked away with cash prizes – one grand to be exact. We also had a photo booth and a flower cart at the event where guests could create beautiful bouquets to take home as mementos.
No one went hungry with PLEASE NAME THEM food trucks, pizza from Hockley’s very own Backdoor Pizzeria, peach cobbler and a popsicle truck all at the ready. Live entertainment for the crowd were provided by the Turner Country Band and Kyle Mathis.
And if the day of fun wasn’t enough, one lucky family won a trip to the Grand Canyon!
