Beyond train rides, this group of locomotive devotees works with youth organizations, community groups, and others to educate them about locomotive history in Harris County. The club and its members own more than 30 locomotives and 100+ pieces of rolling stock, train cars. Many of them can be seen at their location in Zube Park.

Zube Park

Zube Park is more than the home of the Houston Area Live Steamers; it’s a wonderland of fun for all ages. The 225-acre park boasts a playground and splash pad for little ones with plenty of places for playtime picnics. There’s a disc golf course, soccer fields, and an exercise station. Anglers can cast a line at the lake for the chance to catch crappie, catfish, bass, rainbow trout, and more. People can reserve two pavilions at the park that can accommodate 90 people each.

Oil Ranch

Get a taste of life on a working ranch at Oil Ranch. Learn how to milk a cow and rope a calf. Feed the cattle, take a hayride, and fish Lake Buenas Noches. There’s a paintball course, miniature golf, a petting zoo, and a shooting gallery. Adding to the fun are seasonal events that celebrate the holidays. Facilities at Oil Ranch can also be reserved for birthday parties, family reunions, and more.

Waller ISD
